Clinical Nurse Manager II Children’s Clinical Research Unit
Róisín is a Clinical Nurse Manager II with the Haemostasis & Thrombosis Clinical Research team at CHI at Crumlin, working on a number of clinical trials. This includes trials on longer acting factor replacements for those with haemophilia, treatment for von Willebrand disease and a study investigating bleeding of unknown origin. Since commencing her role in May 2015, she has completed a study examining the causes and outcomes for female referrals to the haemostasis and thrombosis service in CHI at Crumlin and has presented posters nationally and internationally. Her professional qualifications are: MSc. (Clinical Practice) P.G Dip (Orthopaedic Nursing) BSc. (Nursing Management) RCN, RGN. She is currently completing an MSc by Research funded by NCRC, which assesses the views of adolescents with severe haemophilia and their caretakers towards transitioning to adult services.
