Research Grants Manager

Alice joined the NCRC as Research Manager in October 2016. Her primary focus is research funding, and she is responsible for both pre- and post-award management. She is also the contact point for communications, and is responsible for managing the NCRC website and social media accounts.

Alice holds a B.A. (Mod.) in Biochemistry and Immunology from Trinity College Dublin, and a PhD in Immunology from King’s College London. Having completed her PhD, Alice moved back to Dublin where she gained extensive experience as a postdoctoral researcher in Clinical Immunology in the Trinity Health Kidney Centre, Trinity College Dublin. During this time, she was awarded an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship, which allowed her to develop her own research into ANCA vasculitis, a rare autoimmune disease and leading cause of kidney failure.

In addition to her research experience, Alice has had the opportunity to work in the Irish Research Council where she gained an in-depth knowledge of Irish and European research funding processes.
