Áine joined the NCRC in July 2017 as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Cystic Fibrosis Research team. As part of this role, she supports the National Coordinator and works closely with the CF:INK team in the operational aspects of the set-up, maintenance and close-out of research studies and clinical trials. Prior to joining, she worked as an Operations Specialist in Pharmacovigilance at Quintiles, where she carried out the safety operations functions for clinical trials from phase I to post authorization studies. She was responsible for multi-study management with diverse indications included oncology, autoimmune, schizophrenia and myasthenia gravis.She gained an in depth knowledge of regulatory reporting intelligence across the EU and rest of world. She holds a first class honours Master of Science degree in Regenerative Medicine from NUI Galway and also a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Natural Sciences at Trinity College Dublin. In her spare time, she enjoys running. To date, she has successfully completed 7 half marathons and last year ran the Dublin City Marathon in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland.
