Our Impact


Research impact is defined by SFI and Research Councils UK (RCUK) as “the demonstrable contribution that excellent research makes to society and the economy”. To the NCRC, research impact means making a difference to the lives of sick children – for example, through the development of a new treatment or therapy, improvements to medical practice or policy, the development of better diagnostic tools, and improvements to the quality of life of sick children.
