Intellectual Property

The NCRC does not have the capacity to exploit or protect Intellectual Property (IP) and relies on the capability of our funded Investigator’s Research Institutions to do this.

To ensure that the value generated from NCRC funded research is maximised, the Research Institution must subscribe to the National Intellectual Property Protocol:

Inspiring Partnership – the National IP Protocol 2019.pdf

As per the General NCRC Terms and Conditions, the NCRC may enter into a separate licensing agreement with the Research Institution should successful IP arise from NCRC funded work.
