The aim of the Paediatric Research Project Grant is to consolidate and grow high quality research in key areas of child health, and to support meaningful partnerships between researchers across the translational spectrum – from the bench to the bedside.
Research that impacts on child health is critical to this call, and applications must show strength in both clinical and scientific research, as reflected in recent grant awards and/or peer reviewed publications. This is best achieved by an applicant team consisting of at least one scientist affiliated with an Irish Research Institution/Higher Education Institution, and one paediatric clinician, nurse or allied health professional affiliated with an Irish Public Hospital. Additionally, applicants must show how the proposed project may lead to more extensive and sustainable research in their area of interest. The potential to strengthen and grow the identified areas by current or future collaboration, to engage with other funding agencies, and to build partnerships is also essential to this call.
The next round of the Paediatric Research Project Grants will be announced via our website and Twitter.
